Contact Pastor Bruce Foster to schedule your wedding date and wedding rehearsal. Non-members of Shepherd of the Bay may schedule weddings beginning Sept. 1 of the year prior to their wedding.

Contact the Director of Music, Gladys Austgen, to provide/coordinate the music for your wedding. You may choose to provide your own musicians/vocalists. Call for information on using our church instruments, or to arrange for an audio recording of your wedding.

Contact the Wedding Coordinator, Jan Mielke. She is required to assist at all church weddings involving more than 40 people (including invited guests). She will be present at your wedding rehearsal and at your wedding to provide information about church procedures and assistance with unforeseen problems that may arise.

Church Policies Regarding Weddings

We ask that all who use the church respect it as a place of worship. Young children must be under adult supervision at all times. Chancel furnishings including wall hangings are to remain in place. No alcohol except for communion wine is allowed in the church building. No rice or bird seed can be tossed on church property.

Fees for Services

The Church requires that the following fees for wedding services be paid in full at or prior to the day of your wedding rehearsal. A deposit of 1/2 of the fee for use of the church is required when the wedding is scheduled. Send deposits to Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, PO Box 27, Ellison Bay, WI 54210 and note the date of the wedding on the check. All remaining fees will be collected by the Wedding Coordinator at the wedding rehearsal.

The Following Fees Apply to All Weddings
Pastor's fee
$100 or 10 percent of the photographers' charges, whichever is greater
Principal Organist's fee
For members of Shepherd of the Bay $100.00 which includes a wedding music consultation with the organist as well as one rehearsal with any other musician(s). Any additional musician rehearsals will be $25.00 per hour with a one hour minimum.
For non-members $100.00 which includes a wedding music consultation with the organist. Any rehearsals will be $50.00 per hour with a one hour minimum.
Wedding Coordinator's fee
For members of Shepherd of the Bay or Door County residents		$100
For non-members with no Door County residence
large wedding – more than 50 people attending		$250
